2004: AUGUST PROGRAM
CREATURE From the copywriting side of the business Jim spent 11 years immersing himself in advertising in places like Portland, San Francisco, Amsterdam and now Seattle. Working for companies like Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, StrawberryFrog and Creature. Over the years he's had the chance to work on Nike, Starbucks, The Wall Street Journal, E*Trade, Foster Farms, Porsche, Rainier Beer, Pacifico Beer, Isuzu, Sprint International and others. Creature is the most fun he's had so far. The heaviest award he's ever won is a Silver Lion from Cannes. Other recognition includes, The One Show, Communication Arts, The Kelly Awards, D&AD, Graphis, Addys and of course, 1980 Most Improved Tennis Player. About Creature. A little over two years ago, while working in Amsterdam, Jim Haven and Matt Peterson wondered why they couldn't start an agency of their own based on their own philosophies. So, far they haven't found and answer and thus Creature exists. The agency has worked with clients such as Nike, The Wall Street Journal, Starbucks, The Professional Bowlers Association, Rainier Beer, Pacifico Beer, Nordlund Yachts to name a few. And these clients have helped begin to establish Creature as a legitimate national agency in the somewhat overlooked and traditionally provincial market of Seattle. The mission of Creature is to not just be recognized as one of the best agencies in the Northwest but to measure up to and challenge the top tier of advertising agencies in the world. Philosophically Creature believes strongly in creating powerful ideas that resonate in the hearts and minds of the consumer by rewarding their intelligence by begging their participation in the idea. We also believe in pushing the boundaries of traditional media. Simply put, Creature hopes to represent the next generation of advertising agencies. Wednesday, August 18 • 12-1:30PM • Clarion Hotel
